This musical re-imagining of Alison Bechdel’s graphic memoir showcases the author at three phases of her life. Through looking at the past, Alison attempt to understand her relationship to her father through the prism of her own identity as a lesbian, and his struggles to reconcile his own desires with the restrictive norms of mid-century rural America.
